sunday - sunshine - surfing

I was able to get every one up and out really early this morning. the sun was been shinning (as still is). a short drive to the north coast parked up on the beach. in the water early and out the back into half decent waves before it was even nearly crowded. at a beach that is famous for over crowding.

we where already on the back on the beach and drinking coffee before the lifeguards started work and heading home against the massive flow of traffic beachwards before midday. love this chance photo taken today while my youngest was playing with a tennis ball, throwing it in the air.

RGB and hex >> pantone

its been a day I though it would be a 'take it easy' end to the week, no chance had a whole heap of reports that I thought I had done to re-do. then it was time to match colour.it is funny how everything seems so straight forward until you look in to it. I had been a little bit involved with a project but not much when yesterday I was asked to do some more.
I actually like being busy I really do I enjoy the idea that I have lots of things lined up to do. but what started out looking like it was half an hours colour matching turn in to an awful lot longer.
I had a problem with finding the correct cotton thread for a design (not mine) to be sewn. the image was just a bitmap. the yarn company as most still do work to pantone. so it meant matching a rgb hexadecimal number to a pantone number. I know you can simple pick the pantone colour in photoshop but the colours had been changed manually and already printed on a business card.
the yellow was easy but the blue, a particular two shades were very difficult. it is hard to explain to anyone that a colour on screen is not always, if ever the same as a colour that will be it this case sewn on fabric, (its hard enough when is on paper). I used a couple of sites to help me 1 & 2
hopefully I have got it sorted though I am sure it will come back again.

yes I fully realise that you have seen picture of theses grasses that I love so much. though this one was taken today, about half an hour.
so I kind of apologise but in the long enjoyment they have given me I have started to feel guilty as I don't actually know what type of grass or plant they actually are so I wanted to put the picture up.
firstly because I like it, and secondly I would really like to know what it is, so I would be grateful if any proper gardeners or those with horticultural knowledge could tell me by adding a comment to this post I would be very grateful.
especially as it is the week of the chelsea flower show in the UK.

bathroom almost done >> nurse

with only the shower section to be added the bathroom, I didn't think it would be fair to show even more pictures. though when it is done I will no doubt post more.
the picture however shows something more important speaks its self really, carols scrubs even though she qualified as a nurse earlier this year. these are the first scrubs with her name on!

this is a picture I just had to post, as I it makes me proud.
