>> in danger of repeating myself >> more green

yes I fully realise that you have seen picture of theses grasses that I love so much. though this one was taken today, about half an hour.
so I kind of apologise but in the long enjoyment they have given me I have started to feel guilty as I don't actually know what type of grass or plant they actually are so I wanted to put the picture up.
firstly because I like it, and secondly I would really like to know what it is, so I would be grateful if any proper gardeners or those with horticultural knowledge could tell me by adding a comment to this post I would be very grateful.
especially as it is the week of the chelsea flower show in the UK.

corny >> predictable

yes I know this picture is corny and even predictable.
so to set the scene I was rushing home to get in take the dog out, change and rush out again to go and collect ben from the child minders. I was late, as I had spent time at work sorting out .pdf files that were part of re-structuring a web site using a more naturally creative way of doing things. the basis of the idea was to save time for the user by making the front end intuitive and useable so that everything they need is on one page, only what they choose is downloaded so making the website very readable and text light.
any-way in my rush, cross with the rain and the sun at the same time I just glanced at the grasses and noticed the tiny droplets of water. I had to take a photo without my proper camera handy I only had my blackberry. the camera on it is ok so I took some pictures, this is just one.
I thought a while the colours and the water made me relax a little, I stopped rushing still got to the child minders in plenty of time to get ben, happier for the tiny break to look at something corny and predictable, oh well that's me then.

two things >> one very achey man

I did two things today

1, I played in a game of rugby parents (I was one) versus the team (children, ben was one) I hurt a lot now but I am very glad that I played I even scored a try, and protected my shoulder with my face! after the game the royal navy air sea rescue helicopter visited publicity / recruitment that sort of thing.

2, I went to the 'favourite beach' where I realised that the grasses I love and grow in my garden are the same grasses that grow on that beach. I had never noticed it before and I have been to that particular place / beach probably many hundreds of time since I was a small child.

grass seed >> frog >> Go2

just a quick post tonight, as it was wet and raining this evening I thought it would be a good time to get some grass seed on the parts of the front garden that are worn. while I was spreading (in the rain) the seed with an open hand the frog literally jumped into it. I only had a short time to take a picture before I let it go in the next door garden.

please accept this has nothing to do with all things french that I have been talking about in previous posts, just a coincidence.

I for the first time saw the my surfing column in the new cornish based 'Go2' lifestyle magazine. it was strange to see it as although it had been very slightly edited. it was only the last section that had been left out just because it was a self contained story and I was over my 2000 words any way. nice to see work in real print.

didn't have an especially great or interesting day but I took this flower photo, and some more check my flickr for even more flowers and loads of other stuff.
rather than being negative I just thought I would wait to be in a better mood.
not bloggers block or anything. it is more like tiredness and a bad shoulder again, yawn, yawn.

been busy working on sound >> but found this picture as well

I seem to have spent all day trying to get the sound right on some audio work I have been doing as usual the best laid plans have gone out of the window.
I expected to spend some time on the project I mentioned yesterday but I haven't even looked at it. probably a good thing as it has given me a bit more time to think.
I have still not managed to create the sounds that I was preparing but still I have a few hours of the day left.
for no other reason than I really like it I wanted to post this picture I was going to create a web template based on it. I still might do that I certainly will use it in my work somewhere, (ooops I am back to flowers again) .

going a bit botanical >> sunlight

it was nice to come home to find amongst the bank statements and my orange mobile bill a brown envelope containing a copy of 'digital diversity' a catalogue published for the exhibition of 'digital botanical illustrations' by niki simpson in collaboration with peter barnes at the botanishches museum berlin-dahlem, berlin.

it was sent to me by davidthedesigner, of celsuis (thanks david) as I was one of 5 winners of his great friday givaway competition last week. david mentioned when I contacted him earlier in the week that my interest in flowers was blossoming! (I think he must be correct) a coincidence perhaps? but before I went into my house to collect the post this afternoon, I spent a good 40 minutes taking the photos that accompany this blog.

I was scrambling around in the front garden because the sun was shining across the plants. I spent most of the time lying on the wet muddy grass desperately trying to get the right amount of sunlight to shine through to show the greenness of the different plants (it was good fun!).
as I mentioned before I have never really been that interested in flowers and never referenced them in any design work previously but I can't seem to get enough of them at the moment, well as far as images and photos anyway.
I must be getting in touch with my flowery / green / botanical side!
